Woolzies Dryer Balls Review

Woolzies sent me a box to review their all natural wool dryer balls. Just to start things off, I want to say thank you to Woolzies for giving me the opportunity to try these! I appreciate it so much. I was super intrigued by these because recently became a Wellness Advocate for dōTERRA Essential Oils, and I wanted to try the oils out in the dryer.
I love the packaging of this product as it allows you to feel the product before purchasing it. It has holes on the side of the box for this purpose. The box also contains very helpful information and FAQ's.  Inside you'll find six wool balls, a bit bigger than a standard tennis ball (see pictures below). The directions suggest to use all six in the dryer for a regular size laundry load.
We are in the winter season and static electricity is BAD at the moment. The most significant difference I noticed is that there was ZERO static with this laundry load thanks to the Woolzies.
Woolzies claims that on the box the drying time is cut by 25%, and I would agree with this statement. I used the Woolzies in a load of bath towels. I was impressed that the towels dried as fast as they did, but it makes sense that the Woolzies help to airate and separate the laundry for it to dry faster.
The Woolzies did not make my towels feel as soft as they would if I used fabric softener. They are still soft, but just not as soft. I would compare it to the feeling of hanging your towels out to dry about 80% and then throwing them in the dryer at the end to fully dry them. This is not a deal breaker for me, as the benefits to using the Woolzies is so much greater than adding harsh chemicals which are toxic to the environment and even more dangerous for people that have sensitive skin and/or allergies.
What I truly love about Woolzies is that they are completely handmade. For this reason, you are promised a quality and trustworthy product.
I used dōTERRA essential Ylang Ylang oil on the Woolzies. The scent of this oil is subtle on its own so I was afraid it would lose its scent in the process of drying. By following the directions of placing the oil on the Woolzies and running the dryer at the end without heat, kept this from happening. My towels smell wonderful.
Overall, if I were to rate the product on a scale of 1-5, 5 being the BEST, I give Woolzies a 4. I would hope that the laundry would feel a bit softer, but I'm still impressed with the quality of the product  and the health benefits I receive from using this over chemical filled fabric softener.

Spotlight Oil: doTERRA's Lavender

Oh my gosh you guys...Landry is sleeping through the night!!!  I honestly believe I owe it all to this amazing oil.  He's been sleeping through the night since February 5, 2015.  At that time, he was just a few days over 10 months old.  I am so excited to finally say, he's a good sleeper!  I started using the oil by putting 3-4 drops in 2 teaspoons of coconut oil.  I mixed it together and I keep it in tiny tupperwear container.  Every night, after bath, I rub the mixture on his little chipmunk cheeks, neck, and back.  The first night he used it, he slept through the night.  I honestly couldn't believe it. I thought it was a fluke.  Until he kept doing it.  We even use it during nap time and he has gone from being a baby that slept 1/2 hour at a time to sleep over an hour every time.  This stuff is amazing.  There is no other way to put it.

Lavender is also great for minor skin irritations and rashes.  It's very soothing.  This is why I rub it on Landry's back because he has a little bit of ecezma.  It's been so helpful to keep his skin smooth.  If your little has a rash, even diaper rash, this is a great all natural alternative to try instead of putting harsh chemicals on your baby.  Everything gets absorbed through the skin, so be 100% sure as to what you are using your baby.

This oil, in my opinion, is one I can't live without.

Spotlight Oil: dōTERRA OnGuard

This was the first oil I ever bought from dōTERRA.  This oil supports immunity and is an all natural alternative to keeping your family healthy.  OnGuard protects against enviromental and seasonal threats (think flu). OnGuard can be used in so many ways, but just to name a few, it can be taken internally to support a healthy immune system, it can be applied topically to the bottom of your children's feet to support their immune system, it can be used as an all natural disinfectant on your kitchen counters and the kids toys, it can also be diffused in the air as it helps to purify the air and support healthy respitory function.  OnGuard also provides cleansing and purifying benefits while promoting healthy circulation.

My Testimony:

Since starting daycare in June of 2014, Landry has been sick pretty often.  And quite frankly, I was just tired of not being able to give him anything to support his immune system.  I came across essential oils and thought it was ridiculous to pay so much for a tiny bottle of oil that I was not sure if it was going to work or not.  I researched a bunch of companies and dōTERRA is the only that I trust.  Their products are put through rigorous testing and are the only ones that are Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade oils.  I was not confident that other companies were as strict and passionate to make sure everything from the time is plant is harvested to the time the oils are made that everything was 100% pure, containing no fillers or toxins.  I then started researching this specific oil, called OnGuard.  It's a blend of five different oils.  The oils it contains is Wild Orange Peel, Clove Bud, Cinnamon Bark, Eucalyptus Leaf/Stem, and Rosemary Leaf/Flower.  I had intentions of buying it only for the use of boosting Landry, Cris's, and my immunity.  Once I found out that there are a TON of different uses, I justified the purchase.  If if didn't work for what I wanted it to, at least it wasn't going to waste. I could use it for just about anything.  So I bought it...and the day I bought it, Landry was sent home from daycare with a fever of 101F.  He had yet another ear infection.  So I applied the oil, diluted with coconut oil to the bottoms of his feet night and day.  The next day I felt like I was getting sick...you know that feeling where your throat feels tight and you start to feel run down?  Well, that night I applied the oil to my feet, but without diluting it with coconut oil.  The next morning I woke up feeling 100% normal.  I honestly couldn't even believe it.  That's when I knew, that this had to be shared with everyone I knew and love.  That was at the very beginning of January, and Landry has been feeling great ever since.  I'm afraid to be without this oil.
